De Sportzak is a basement bar with character where sports-loving students head down for a glass of golden beer or a homemade cocktail at reasonable prices. It’s not just a place to drink, it’s also a spot to dance and chat. We host themed parties there, so there’s something for everyone. For those who can’t resist a bit of competition, we offer various activities such as beer pong, schuss, darts, and foosball.

“A long, long, long time ago, when squirrels still talked, the student was going through a dark period. His thirst for alcohol could no longer be quenched by beer or wine, and he longed for the ultimate pleasure. The bravest of the students, the Sportkotters of course, set out and vowed not to return until they had found that pleasure. A few years later, they emerged from the deepest cellars of Leuven and brought the students the Grasmaeyer. The recipe is a closely guarded secret, passed down orally from one Zakbaas to the next. Every year, students from all over the world come to taste this divine drink, which is served exclusively at our fantastic Sportzak.”
